Set up The Framer Bridge

A small app for a computer at home. It links The Framer to your Frame, so the paintings you choose appear on the wall. The computer doesn't need to stay on: it only has to be running when you send a painting or a slideshow change is due. It sits quietly in your menu bar or system tray.

You'll need a Samsung Frame TV and a Mac, Windows PC or Raspberry Pi on the same Wi-Fi as the TV. The Bridge runs on that computer. Intel Macs aren't supported. On an Intel Mac, use the Raspberry Pi or Linux install below, or a Windows PC.

Raspberry Pi, NAS or Linux

A Raspberry Pi or NAS that stays on is a good home for the Bridge, because your paintings then change on schedule around the clock. Run this line in a terminal and the installer will walk you through connecting your account.

After installing

  1. Open the app. Your browser opens and asks you to sign in and connect your account.
  2. The Bridge finds your Frame on your Wi-Fi and tells you when it's ready.
  3. Pick a painting in The Framer and it appears on your Frame. The Bridge starts with your computer and stays in your menu bar or system tray.
